Twitter Blue Relaunched At $11/Month & Includes More Features

December 25, 2022 by tutorials-forum

Twitter Blue Relaunched Overview

Twitter has finally relaunched its Blue subscription to provide the blue verification badge to the subscribers again, but this time it came up with a plan to sidestep impersonation, more features, and raise prices. The company made the announcement of this relaunch on Saturday, but they launched it today in some limited regions, such as Australia, Canada, New Zealand, the US, and the UK.

Twitter Blue Came Back With Paid Blue Tick

The headlining feature of Twitter Blue will be the addition of a blue checkmark for the profiles of users who subscribe. While Twitter briefly launched this capability last month, it was rolled back after major issues around impersonation. This time, Twitter says it’s doing a few things that it hopes will crack down on impersonation. To receive the blue checkmark after subscribing to Twitter Blue, your Twitter account will require a verified phone number. The checkmark will appear after your account “has been reviewed,” but it’s unclear what exactly this review process will entail. Furthermore, if you change your Twitter handle, display name, or profile photo, your blue checkmark will be removed until your account is reviewed again.

To help denote between Twitter Blue subscribers and other brand accounts, Twitter says it will be using a gold checkmark for businesses. “Government and multilateral accounts” will receive a gray checkmark. The new gold checkmark is rolling out now, and the gray checkmark will launch “later in the week. “The blue checkmark is clearly what Twitter believes will be the biggest feature of Twitter Blue. At launch, the subscription will offer support for editing tweets and “early access” to other “select new features.”

December 25, 2022 by tutorials-forum

Windows 11 Features Overview

Windows 11 is a mixed bag. On the one hand, many people would be happier sticking with Windows 10. On the other hand, there are some solid reasons to upgrade to Windows 11 right now, including better window snapping options, more control over virtual desktops and fresh design flourishes such as rounded corners on windows. If you choose to move to Windows 11, whether via upgrade or clean install, you’ll notice several significant annoyances, including a context menu that makes you click an extra time, a hobbled taskbar and a default browser menu that makes it more difficult to switch away from Edge.

Features of Windows 11 update

Here’s a quick rundown of all the new features added with the 2022 Update:

  • App folders in Start menu
  • Resizable pinned area in Start menu
  • Drag and Drop on the Taskbar
  • Focus Assist integration with Notification Center
  • New “spotlight” wallpaper feature
  • New Voice Access accessibility feature
  • New Live Captions accessibility feature
  • New gestures and animations for touch users
  • New snap layouts bar when moving app windows
  • New Task Manager App
  • New “Suggested Actions” feature when copying dates/numbers
  • Tabs in File Explorer
  • Better OneDrive integration with File Explorer
  • Numerous UI improvements and consistency updates

More about Update

As their new practice will suggest searching for copied text on Edge browser whenever you copy any text, and this practice will soon come out with a stable update. All these features were only spotted in the Insiders preview, so it is compulsory that we would see some changes in their final release.

Windows 11 Will Soon Get Native Screen Recorder

December 25, 2022 by tutorials-forum

Windows 11 Native Screen Recorder Overview

It seems like it’s been ages since Microsoft announced that it will be adding a native screen recorder for its Windows 11 operating system. With all of that having been said and now out of the way, it is important to note that Microsoft has finally started rolling this feature out for Windows 11 users. There have been third party screen recorders that people could use, but in spite of the fact that this is the case the lack of a native recording software was seen as a weak point by many users. The recordings can now be made from the app for the Snipping Tool. Incidentally, this is also the app that users can use if they want to take screenshots without third party software. The lack of recording functionality in this app was curious to say the least, but the long awaited addition of this feature will be warmly received by most if not all users who have switched over to Windows 11 with all things having been considered and taken into account.

Windows 11 Snipping Tool’s Screen Recording Feature

According to an official report from Microsoft, the latest Windows version is about to get a native screen recorder, as the company promised for Windows 11. This new recording feature will arrive after an update to Snipping Tool.As all Windows OS users know that any version of Windows doesn’t have a native screen recorder that simply just allows recording the screen, but now it seems that Windows 11 is going to change this for future versions.

Snipping Tool is already well used to take screenshots, but after further updates, it will also allow you to record the screen, as you can see in the below image. To start recording instantly, the shortcut key will be the Windows logo key + Shift + S. Also, before starting the screen recording, it will be on you to select which part of the screen you want to record.

Nothing’s Next TWS Earbuds’ Launch Planned in New Sub-Brand

December 24, 2022 by tutorials-forum

Nothing’s Next TWS EarbudsNew Sub-Brand Overview

Nothing is barely a year old in the market and has few products available to the consumers but it seems the company is ready to take the sub-brand route already. According to news reports, nothing is planning to launch new audio products under a new brand called Particles by XO. This name has been trademarked in the US and the first product is likely to be TWS earbuds as the listing has been done under the category of headphones and earphones. It is possible that nothing wants to build a parallel brand in the market that caters to the needs of regular needs, who are not really keen on the unique transparent designs the parent company offers with its products.Further details provided through the firmware from Nothing suggests the Particles by XO product will have a similar design to the Sony Link Buds which seem to be the go-to design for the latest audio wearable products.

Nothing’s New Sub-Brand Would Be Called ‘XO

Nothing has always focused on releasing products with unique designs, and the Ear (Stick) TWS earbuds are a perfect example. The earbuds have a lipstick-like casing, which makes them easy to fit into pockets, and their design has garnered a lot of attention. It’s likely that Particles by XO will follow a similar approach with their TWS earbuds, offering a product that not only performs well but also stands out in terms of design.

While it’s not clear when the Particles by XO TWS earbuds will be released, it’s expected to be soon, potentially in the US market. With the design already leaked, it’s likely that we’ll hear more about the earbuds in the near future. It will be interesting to see how the sub-brand differentiates itself from nothing and what kind of products it’ll release in the future.

IPhone SE 4 Would Get Cancel or Postpone By Apple

IPhone SE 4 Would Get Cancel or Postpone By Apple Overview

The current iPhone 14 Pro series of smartphones is doing well for Apple, judging by the limited stock availability and generally favorable reviews. But the regular iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus may not be doing quite as well. And it’s because of this that a highly reliable Apple commentator, Ming-Chi Kuo from TFI Securities, has just predicted that the iPhone SE fourth-generation is being canceled or, at the very least, postponed.

Over the past few months, we’ve been hearing rumors about the next-generation iPhone SE – Apple’s entry-level smartphone. However, it seems that the launch of the iPhone SE 4 is far from happening, and now analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has reported that Apple is even considering canceling or at least delaying the mass production of the new device until 2024.

Apple may delay or even cancel iPhone SE 4 production

According to Kuo on Twitter, Apple “will likely cancel or postpone the mass production plan for the 2024 iPhone SE 4.” The analyst claims that the reasons include low demand for entry-level and mid-range iPhone models, such as the current 3rd generation iPhone SE, iPhone 13 mini, and iPhone 14 Plus.According to multiple reports, Apple has been struggling with sales of these iPhone models since they aren’t as appealing as competing devices in the same price range. This year, the iPhone 14 Pro models are the ones with the highest demand, even in the face of the supply constrains that have been affecting the Pro lineup.

But that’s not the only reason why Apple would be considering canceling its plans to launch a new iPhone SE. Kuo also said on Twitter that upgrading the device with full-screen design will result in a significant increase in production costs. The current iPhone SE model is still based on the same design as the iPhone 8, which has a 4.7-inch LCD panel with a Home button and Touch ID.

OnePlus 11 & OnePlus Buds Pro 2 Overview

OnePlus has confirmed the launch of the new OnePlus 11 flagship smartphone and the OnePlus Buds Pro 2 headphones. The event is called the OnePlus Cloud 11 Launch Event and will take place on February 7, 2023 in New Delhi. Along with the presentation, the start of sales of new products will not take place. You will then have to wait “2-3 weeks”. For comparison, this year the company introduced the OnePlus 10 Pro model in January. Initially, the smartphone could be purchased only in the domestic market, and it reached global sales only in March.

OnePlus Buds Pro 2 Design Confirmed

We can see a semi-in-ear design with a compact pebble-shaped charging case. There are a few differences, though. The OnePlus Buds Pro 2 is seen with bigger mics and comes in a new Arbor Green color. We can expect some more new color options for the new Buds Pro 2. There’s also the glossy finish taken from the predecessor. The earbuds also feature the Dynaudio logo, hinting at a possible collab between OnePlus and Dynaudio for better audio quality. Check it out below.

Given that OnePlus China has showcased the forthcoming OnePlus Buds Pro 2, there are chances that the TWS might launch in China first, followed by a launch in India and other global markets. It remains to be seen what OnePlus is planning to do. Meanwhile, the OnePlus 11 will come with Hasselblad-backed cameras, the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, an alert slider, and more. It is also expected to sport a QHD+ AMOLED 120Hz display, 100W fast charging, and Android-13-based OxygenOS 13.We should get more confirmed details regarding OnePlus’ first launch event of 2023. So, stay tuned to this space.

Intel Brings 2X Performance Boost to Arc GPUs with Driver Update

December 24, 2022 by tutorials-forum

Intel Brings 2X Performance Driver Update Overview

Intel came up with a new driver update for its recently launched Arc-series desktop graphics cards, and this update brings around a 2X performance boost in multiple DirectX 9 games. The company launched its first desktop GPU series earlier this year, and now, to make an impact on its popularity, the company has rolled out huge improvements with its latest update, so let’s discuss all details about it.

Fixes:

  • Arc Control may not start automatically after reboot.
  • Arc Control may not show up in Add or Remove programs list after the update.
  • Arc Control may incorrectly show Studio Capture as active when putting the system to sleep while recording
  • Resetting Arc Control to application defaults may not reset global “Tearing Migration” modes to default
  • Some Arc Control Telemetry metrics may not align with 3rd party applications or built-in OS functions

Hot-Plugging fixes:

  • Hot-plugging a secondary display with Arc Control invoked may cause Arc Control to be unresponsive.
  • Hot-plugging a display with Arc Control Studio Capture audio device set to display audio may cause an error when attempting to capture or broadcast.
  • Hot-plugging peripheral devices, such as cameras, microphones, or displays, while Arc Control is open may cause Arc Control to become unresponsive.

New Features:

  • New Game Sorting
  • UI Changes
  • Auto Game Highlights supported games list shown in the right tab

Intel Brings 2X Performance Boost

Being optimized for modern API such as DirectX 12 and Vulkan, the Arc-series of graphics cards have always struggled with older APIs, such as DX11, DX10, and DX9. One solution for this was to run these older APIs through DXVK, a Vulkan based translation layer, which helps improve performance. It seems Intel is likely using such translation layer to improve performance in older titles.
