Apple is going to launch its new MacBook laptops through an Unleashed event. The new MacBooks will feature Apple’s new self-made silicon from M lineup. The new M series chip will be an upgrade of M1 and it is known as M1X. According to some new reports the new chips will be called M1 pro as well as M1 Max.
M1 Pro is expected to have a 16-core GPU while the higher-end M1 Max will have a 32 GPU cores. According to some reports Apple M2 is the direct successor to the M1 chip and it could launch next year with a new MacBook Air Model. For the upcoming models, we can see two different variants. There will be a 14-inch and 16-inch model and both of them will carry 16GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage. Both of them displays will use Mini LEDs with minimal bezels. Apple is testing 120Hz refresh rates which is not confirmed at the moment. The front camera will be a 1080p webcam however it is also rumored that Apple will add a notch to the display.
