Russian Government has restricted its citizen’s access to Google News
Russia is continuing to put restrictions on freely available information and in a latest move they have blocked citizen’s access to Google News. The communications regulator of Russia accused the Google news service of providing the access to the false information on the country’s military operations in Ukraine.
Google has also confirmed that their services have been restricted from 23rd March which means the common Russians don’t have access to Google News. According to the news agency Interfax, the Russian communications regulator Roskomnadzor has provided a statement that says that the US based online news resource in question provided the access to number of publications and materials containing the inauthentic and publicly important information about the special military operation in Ukraine.

Instagram’s chronological feed is making a grand return, but you can’t set it as default
every social network is opting to impose the algorithmic feeds and it is unclear if any of the users actually benefits from it but it is a reality that everyone has to face online. Both Facebook and Instagram offer algorithmic feeds instead of chronological ones and Twitter provides you the option to switch ‘Latest Tweets’ feed, Instagram does not have got a similar option. it is now changing as the chronological feed is making a return.
As it has been announced by Instagram, when opening the app, you will be able to tap on Instagram logo and switch from default order to two different options. The first one is Following, which shows latest posts in chronological order and the second one is Favorites which is an all-new previously leaked feature that will let you select a handful of favorite accounts in order to curate your feed and only see the posts from those accounts. You can set up to 50 accounts as “favorites”, which is ranked higher in existing algorithmic feed.
Unfortunately, algorithmic sorting is the default option and you can not set either of the other two feeds as primary. Instagram has said that its research indicated that most of the people are satisfied with how the existing feed does the things.

Google’s new Android Automotive logo will help us all tell it apart from Android Auto
Mobile technology has evolved dramatically and it has changed the driving experience. Android Automotive, the new Google’s in-car software is not widely available yet but it continues to get the new features.
Android powers both the systems, Auto runs on your phone and then uses your vehicle’s in-dash screen and buttons as an interface, working in collaboration with your car manufacturer’s native system. On the other hand, Automotive is designed to be the native system of your car, providing audio, hand free calling, navigation and various other handy functionality while running directly on your car’s hardware. At the moment, Android Automotive is either available or coming soon to few car models. So it will take some time for most of use to get the experience of it.
Android 13 DP2 is planning to resurrect the bygone app drawer icon
After neglecting Android tablet for years, Google has now started showing them some affection with Android 12L and its various big screen specific optimizations and features. One of them is a PC-style taskbar, providing a smoother app switching experience closer to that of a desktop. The new element is undergoing more refinements in the freshly released Android 13 DP2 with resurrection of the feature.
Android 13 DP2’s taskbar has got an app drawer shortcut that should make navigating between the apps even easier. In DP1 the way to access all of your apps was simply by returning to home screen and swiping up. DP2 streamlines the process by adding an app drawer icon to the taskbar, allowing you to jump right to your apps no matter which you are working on at the moment. The icon seems to appear when you are in an app and disappears upon returning to home screen.
Android introduced the app drawer icon many years ago when Nougat arrived with its swipe-up gesture. Back then not everybody liked it so this return may be a pleasant surprise for them.
