Galaxy Z Flip 3 joins list of Samsung phones that have received Android 13 update

December 9, 2022 by tutorials-forum

Galaxy Z Flip 3 Android 13 Update Overview

Samsung’s been releasing the Android 13 and One UI 5.0 update for more and more devices pretty much every other day. Today, the big update has arrived for the Galaxy Z Flip 3. The Z Flip 3’s first stable Android 13 release comes with firmware version F711BXXU3DVK3 and its rollout has started in India, and we have our fingers crossed the rollout will expand to cover more markets over the next few days.

Samsung’s foldables have not received the Android 13/One UI 5.0 upgrade at the same pace as the Galaxy S and Galaxy Note lineups, but it’s good to see the company is beginning to change that. The Galaxy Z Flip 3’s One UI 5.0 update comes on the heels of the update for the Galaxy Z Fold 3. This leaves the Z Fold 2 as the only eligible Samsung foldable to not have been updated, but again, fingers crossed that doesn’t remain the case for too long.

Brooklyn 6G Summit offers glimpse of hyper-connected future

December 8, 2022 by tutorials-forum

Brooklyn 6G Summit Connected future Overview

The Brooklyn 6G Summit brought together around 250 of the most creative minds in the business for one of the most distinguished gatherings of the communications industry. Hosted by Nokia and Th e NYU Wireless research center, the summit included a series of keynote addresses, lively panels and physical demonstrations showcasing this year’s theme of “the path to 6G.” Release 21 is still a number of years away. The 3rd Generation Partnership Project (3GPP) standards body just completed Release 17 of the 5G standard in March 2022.

In fact, Smee and many others at the event don’t expect to see any commercial 6G networks or devices until 2030. Despite this, quite a few vendors are already talking about extended reality (XR), the metaverse, and other amazing technologies that 6G will enable.

It’s a metaverse

Multiple speakers at the summit talked about 6G as a platform for the metaverse. The metaverse started life as a science-fiction term but for many vendors is now business jargon that seems to mean a digital world interlaced with virtual reality.

5G-Advanced

Research into 5G-Advanced has already commenced, although the standard won’t be commercial for several more years.Release 18 is expected to be fully frozen in March 2024, so commercial 5G-Advanced devices could arrive 12 to 18 months after that, either in the middle of 2025 or early in 2026.

6G beginnings

Smee said that part of the vision of 6G will include expanding the framework of cellular standards so that XR can be used in both business and gaming environments. In part, that will involve how much artificial intelligence there is on-device, Smee said. He predicted that the role of compute at the edge of the network and in devices is going to substantially change in the next five years.

Brooklyn 6G Summit Connected future

With that definition, the industry won’t truly be at 5G for two or three years, and obviously operators are already launching 5G. But the early days of 5G are about enhanced mobile broadband; the more advanced low latency and machine-type communications are not there yet. And for that matter, more 5G specifications are coming down the pike in 3GPP Release 16 and 17.

Apple MacBook Pro models Start Getting MacOS 13 Ventura Update

Apple MacBook Pro MacOS 13 Ventura Update Overview

MacOS Ventura takes the Mac experience to a whole new level with groundbreaking capabilities that help users achieve more than ever. New features like Continuity Camera enable users to seamlessly work across their Apple devices, and productivity tools including Stage Manager help users stay focused and easily move between tasks. Safari ushers in a password less future with passkeys, and big updates come to popular apps including Mail and Messages.

MacOS 13 Ventura Update New Features

Continuity Camera

Another continuity-related feature allows you to use your iPhone as a webcam as well as Handoff a FaceTime call from your iPhone or iPad to your Mac. Continuity Camera is a great way to benefit from the superior camera on the iPhone.

ICloud Shared Photo Library

You can now set up an album in Photos that lets you select up to five people that can all add photos and videos and quickly share them with each other.

Gaming

Expect gaming on the Mac to truly take off (well Apple does anyway). Apple says that every new Mac will be able to run AAA games “with ease”. Improvements in Metal 3, MetalFX Upscaling, and Fast Resource Loading API should benefit game developers.

Automatically Organize Workspaces with Stage Manager

Stage Manager automatically organizes apps and windows so users can concentrate on the task at hand and still see everything in a single glance. When users enable Stage Manager from Control Center, the current window they are working in is displayed prominently in the center, while other windows appear on the left so they can seamlessly switch between tasks.

Reminders

In macOS Ventura, Apple has added several new features to make Reminders more helpful. You’ll be able to see your reminders grouped by time and date, you will be able to pin a list and save lists to be used as templates.

MacOS Ventura latest Update

Apple is currently working on the macOS 13.1 beta with developers and public testers. The macOS Ventura 13.0.1 update includes bug fixes and two security updates. The security updates includes fix for an issue where a remote user could cause unexpected app termination or arbitrary code execution.
