July 20, 2022 by tutorials-forum

WhatsApp keeps coming up with new features with each passing day. The latest inclusion has been emoji message reactions and the subsequent expansion of available emoji. One of the under development feature is the ability to add a voice message to your WhatsApp status. But that is not only the single change coming to the status page, though with the latest beta release showing work towards ability to reply to users’ status updates with instant reactions like Instagram.
Users can react to status updates with eight emoji which include heart, sadness, laughter, gratitude, shock and the usual celebratory or congratulatory moods. The new subtle update of Twitter gives users something to chirp about

July 18, 2022 by tutorials-forum

Twitter has been at the center stage for all the good as well as bad reasons. People have the idea about the bad part so we will only focus on the good part here. Twitter has improved over past few months with the introduction of some new features like bottom bar customizations and automatically generated video captions to name a few. Now there is another impressive sounding addition is on its way.
Twitter now plays chirping sounds when users pull down their feeds to refresh. When you pull it down a windup trill plays and when you let it go it plays a chirp sound. Both of these sounds are bird-sounding and complement Twitter’s vibe. Previous refresh sound was a bit boring pop. Users hope that more sounds throughout the UI will get replaced with cuter ones.

WhatsApp has tested the reaction previews in your chat list

July 16, 2022 by tutorials-forum

WhatsApp launched the message reactions in chats a couple of months ago. The stakeholders were late in introducing this feature with Telegram delivering the feature last December. On the other hand social media giant Instagram supported emoji reactions for much longer. But now WhatsApp developers are taking it very seriously as there is a huge expansion of emoji options for reactions. Now the Meta-owned entity is testing some of new previews for reaction of the message within the chat list.
According to WABetaInfo, the feature can not be disabled even if you turn off reaction notifications from the app’s settings. The message reaction previews are available only for handful of WhatsApp beta testers. If you are part of WhatsApp beta via Google Play beta program, you can check to see if you have got access to the new interface.

WhatsApp is working to allow you to add a voice message to your status

July 14, 2022 by tutorials-forum

Story posting concept for 24 hours was first introduced by Snapchat which was later copied by Instagram, and then all the other apps which you can think of. Meta, added the stories to not just to Instagram and Facebook but also to WhatsApp where you can find it in the Status tab. At the moment you can post photos, GIFs, videos and text messages to your status but soon you will get access to voice messages.
WhatsApp is working on an option to allow its users to record and upload voice messages to their WhatsApp status. Once the feature will be live, the app will allow you to record voice message just like you do in a chat. You will also be able to upload any existing audio file. Voice recordings in status updates would be shared with your WhatsApp contacts by using same privacy settings you use for the photos and videos.

Gboard’s foldable-friendly split keyboard layout is now available in beta

July 6, 2022 by tutorials-forum

Foldable phones have once again pushed themselves into the mainstream. While they are still expensive than the smartphones with a non-foldable display. Even Google has started to come with foldables and larger screen in general with Android 12L. Google’s own rumored foldable won’t be a thing for some time, the company is not waiting around to show interest in these phones which is visible with Gboard’s new split layout which is currently rolling out for beta users.
The new layout of Gboard is starting to make its way to the beta testers. If you are enrolled and you take the latest update, you should get access to new split layout that divides keyboard in two, letting the users with wider screens to reach all keys easily. The ‘G’ and ‘V’ keys which are located on the center of the keyboard in regular layout are duplicated, so you have got your choice of hitting them on either side, Gboard will know which screen you are using if you are swapping between cover and main displays.

Google Keep now lets you drag and drop cats between apps

July 5, 2022 by tutorials-forum

Google has got Keep when it comes to note-taking. Unfortunately, though, many users will find the app a bit simple, missing out on basic features. So the company is doing something about it. After the recent addition of some text formatting goodies, Google Keep is getting new feature that makes it easier to move images around the app you require.
You are now capable of dragging the photos and pictures up from image carousel on Google Keep note and then drag them out on other apps in Android’s split screen mode. We wont be able to drop the images into anything that is not a Google app right now, at least with Google Messages and Google Workspace app like Drive or Docs. The 3rd party messaging apps are the ideal destinations but it is suspected that Google will require to extend some APIs to make that possible.

WhatsApp could provide you more time to delete your unwanted sent messages

July 3, 2022 by tutorials-forum

WhatsApp first introduced the ability to allow you to delete your messages for everyone in the group 5 years ago. Initially there was a time limit of eight minutes but the app tweaked that cut-off time to a more precise 1.1377 hours. Last year there was hint signaling that the app would further expand this limit to three months. The change was not rolled out though presumably because the developers realized the time limit could be too long.
It has been reported that WhatsApp has increased time limit to delete the sent messages to 2 days and 12 hours for some users on latest v2.22.15.8 beta release. It is less arbitrary than the current cut-off of 1 hour, 8 ins and 16 seconds. There is no indicator in WhatsApp beta to notify you about increased limit. You will require to try it for yourself by sending a message to a group and then attempt to delete it after a couple of days. It has also got a feature to let group admins to delete the chats from anyone in the group for other members is also under development.
