AMD Ryzen 7000 Overview

The new generation of Ryzen chips also represent a big shift in how AMD integrates GPUs on their chips. The days of APUs with G suffixes attached to the model names are long gone. AMD ZEN 4 RYZEN 7000 RELEASE DATE

The first four Zen 4 Ryzen 7000 processors arrived on September 27, 2022, accompanied by the high-end X670 and X670E chipsets, while the B650E and the B650 chipsets will arrive in October. New EXPO (EXtended Profiles for Overclocking) DDR5 memory kits are also available, but PCIe 5.0 SSDs will come to market in October.

Intel Core i9-13900K Processor Overview

The Intel Core i9-13900K is a fast high-end desktop processor of the Raptor Lake series. It includes a hybrid architecture for the CPU cores with combined 24 cores and 32 threads. Eight fast Raptor Cove performance cores (P-cores) with HyperThreading and a clock speed of 3 – 5.8 GHz and sixteen Gracemont efficiency cores without HyperThreading and a clock speed of 2.2 – 4.3 GHz.

Thanks to the faster P-cores and more E-cores, the i9-13900K is significantly faster than the old i9-12900K (especially in multi-threaded workloads). Compared to the Raphael AMD Ryzen 9 7950X (Zen 4), the 13900K offers a slightly higher multi-thread-performance and a slightly lower single core performance. In games, the Intel CPU is currently the clear winner (at the time of announcement of the 7950X).

NVidia’s RTX 4090 is the new flagship of a new generation of NVidia graphics cards based on its Ada Lovelace architecture. Specifications

The RTX 4090 is based on NVidia’s new Ada Lovelace architecture built on the latest TSMC 4nm process. That allows for unprecedented efficiency and a much more compact design. The RTX 4090 has more than 50% more CUDA cores than the RTX 3090, and it manages that while increasing clock speeds dramatically. Memory configurations are much the same, with 24GB of GDDR6X running with a 384-bit width.

Performance

The RTX 4090 is around 68% faster than the RTX 3090 Ti at 4K and close to 90% faster than the RTX 3090. That’s a huge generational leap, much more than we typically see. In many cases, it’s not just a higher number — it’s a performance advantage that makes a big difference. In Cyberpunk 2077 at 4K with all of the settings maxed out, for example, the RTX 4090 managed a 78 frames per second average. In the previous generation, there wasn’t a single GPU that could crack 60 fps in this game with all the sliders turned up.

Power draw

NVidia recommends an 850W power supply at a minimum for anyone running this graphics card, but the 450W power draw is no more than was already pulled by the RTX 3090 Ti, so it’s not an enormous increase over the previous generation.

More About Update

We have to stress that all of this information is only based on rumor. Nvidia hasn’t said anything about the RTX 4090 Ti yet. And if this GPU does ever be released, we will need to wait at least until the last quarter of 2023.
