ARM is going to launch the flagship mobile GPU next year that is believed to be 30% faster than current Mali G710. This news came out in a developer summit by the senior technical director of the company. Mali G710 has brought a 35% jump in computing power as compared to its predecessor which is quite impressive.

The name of this GPU has not been revealed at the moment but the company has said that there will be a giant leap in the performance. With 30% increase in the raw computing power, the new ARM GPU has claimed to be more efficient for the machine learning tasks and it will feature FP32 4.7 times greater than Mali-G76. The new GPU was made possible with the joint venture between ARM,MediaTek and Tencent Games. With this collaboration, ARM was able to develop GPU capable of ray tracing on the smartphones. The new GPU is going to be a rival to Samsung’s upcoming Exynos chipset that will flaunt an AMD GPU.

WhatsApp is going to add new features to its web version which is known as WhatsApp Web. The desktop version of WhatsApp will allow you to change the privacy settings like Last Seen, About section and Profile Photo etc. At the moment WhatsApp Web does not allows you to change any settings through desktop app or the browser version. You can also change then through your phone.

According to some reports WhatsApp will add these features with some new update. This new multi-device feature will make WhatsApp Desktop independent from your phone. WhatsApp web will allow you to change the privacy settings and also change the list of people who can view your personal information. It is still not confirmed that the feature will be available to everyone but it will roll out to beta testers very soon.

Samsung has come up with the promotional content for the newly introduced Android skin i.e. One UI 4.0. the beta versions of One UI 4 is available in some of the regions and within few weeks until we get the final build. Samsung has released new videos for promoting the new Android skin.

In the first video we can see how One UI has come up through the years starting from one UI 2.0. it also shows how One UI 4.0 has been developed according to the wishes of users with loads of customization options, dark mode, widgets and many more. In the promotional video Samsung has also confirmed that One UI is also coming to the laptops very soon and it will be known as One UI Book 4. this will be the special version of One UI for the laptops. It will run on Windows-based laptops. In another video Samsung has shown details about the enhanced customization which are coming to One UI 4.0. it has got various photo-related tools and how you can share the photos between your laptop and phone.

Oppo has come up with a new A-series phone in the home market which is called A56 5G. This smartphone is the update of Oppo A55 5G with almost similar specifications but with one less camera on the back of the phone. It has also come up with new color options which include Pink, Blue and Black.

Oppo A56 5G has been equipped with a 6.5-inch LCD with HD+ resolution as well as a waterdrop notch selfie camera. It has got a fingerprint sensor on its side and doubles as a power button. It has now got only a dual camera setup. It has been equipped with a MediaTek’s Dimensity 700 chipset with up to 6GB RAM and 128GB of internal storage which can be expanded via microSD. It has been empowered with Android 11 with ColorOS 11.1. As for as camera is concerned it is equipped with a 13MP main camera and a 2MP depth sensor. The 3^rd 2MP camera has been removed. With this camera you can record 1080p videos at 30FPS. The waterdrop notch selfie camera is 8MP wide-angle lens that can record 1080p videos. It has been equipped with a 5,000mAh battery and it lacks fast charging support.

Australia is planning to make social media companies obtain the parental consent for all the users who are under 16. The government has threaten to fine of almost AUD 10 million for the Internet platforms which fail to comply. Social media companies like Reddit and a dating app like Bumble are required to take all the necessary steps for determining the users age.

The new rules will put Australia among the most restrict countries in terms of age controls for the social media and built on the efforts to rein in the power of Big Tech. As for as Watch GT 3 is concerned it is a tweaked version of Huawei Watch 3 plus it is available in two different sizes which are 42mm and 46mm. The main difference between GT and standard watches is that GT has not got the eSIM support but you can take calls from your phone connected through Bluetooth. The 46mm version has been equipped with a 1.46-inch AMOLED panel while on the other hand the 42mm version has got a 1.32-inch AMOLED screen. The GT 3 has brought new feature which is Huawei’s Healthy Living Clover which will provide you with daily challenges for your health and fitness. The challenges include exercise, walking and sleep etc. It has also got an enhanced optical heart rate sensor, 100 sports mode and SpO2 measurements. The watches have got 5ATM water resistance and they are compatible with iOS and Android devices.

PayPal is one of the most famous and biggest online payment platforms and they are now in talks to acquire Pinterest for $45 billion. If the talk is successful between the two companies then this will be the biggest social media acquisition in the history. Previously the biggest acquisition was of LinkedIn which was sold to Microsoft for $26.2 billion in 2016. PayPal is offering $70 per share for getting Pinterest. If everything goes to plan then the deal should be announced in next month right when the PayPal is going to report its quarterly earnings.

It is still not clear that whether the deal will be successful and the terms of the deal could change. After the acquisition of Pinterest, PayPal will be able to capture more of a e-commerce market where loads of online shoppers follow the influencers on various different platforms. This will help Paypal to diversify the sources of income with the advertising revenue. When Pinterest went public two years ago it was valued at $13billion but during the pandemic it has seen a significant growth.
