WhatsApp Web Has Got a Built-in Custom Sticker Maker

WhatsApp is planning to enhance the user experience and now it has introduced built-in sticker maker for its web version which will turn the plain images into stickers. This will let the users to create their own custom sticker collection and can share it with friends and family.
You can edit as well as convert the images into the stickers once they are uploaded. Users can outline as well as crop their photo into sticker and can add emojis or words to it and can have their own custom sticker. With the crop option you can create images in square aspect ratio. There are many third party apps which are available on iOS and Android which are used for creating the stickers, however it is very convenient to have this feature built into the WhatsApp desktop and web versions. WhatsApp is also planning to introduce a new feature which will extend message-deleting time to a week from current time limit of more than an hour.

Spotify is Testing a New Feature in order to Compete With TikTok

TikTOk has become the most popular lip syncing app for making vertical videos with some audio of your choice playing in the background. After the huge success of TikTok, apps like Facebook, Snapchat, Instagram and YouTUbe has also tried the vertical video style. The new competitor in town is Spotify which is trying to test out similar feature that will display a feed of vertical videos which is called Discover.
This latest feature is related to Canvas, which is a feature from Spotify that lets the musicians to replace static album art or song pages with the short videos. The videos which appear on Discover tab are the Canvas videos which are cropped into the vertical formats. Users can swipe vertically between two corresponding clips and can like the videos by giving heart which will add them to the list of liked songs. Spotify has revealed that the new feature is at the moment only for testing the potential of such a feature indicating that Discover might not get public release unless it is acclaimed worldwide.

Reddit is Going to Shutdown Dubsmash App a Year After Buying it

Reddit has just announced that they are shutting down it’s TikTok like app i.e. Dubsmash only after one year of buying it. After 22nd February 2022 the Dubsmash app will no longer be available for downloading on the Google Playstore and Apple App Store. The currently downloaded apps will also stop functioning as well. Reddit acquired the video creation app i.e. Dubsmash in December 2020 in order to integrate its video creation tools into Reddit.
Reddit has recently announced that they are coming up with new video creation tools like changing the video recording speeds with an option to set a timer. Reddit is adding new editing screen that includes text stickers, filters and a drawing tool as well. Users can also add voice-overs as well. In the month of August, Reddit came up with a video feed for iOS users which shows streams of videos very similar to TikTok. While watching the video, users can upvote, downvote, comment and share it. Just like TikTok, users can swipe up in order to watch another video or feed from other subreddits. Reddit’s new video feed has come up when Intagram’s Reels and Snapchat’s Spotlight tool are gaining the popularity.
