Oppo unveiled it’s first ever wearable smart glass Oppo Air Glass which will be the company’s first step towards augmented reality world. Following the Oppo’s concept last year, they have confirmed the initial retail price of the upcoming tech. The smart glass will be available in the Chinese market from 3rd March and its price will start from 4,999 yuan.
The Air Glass feature four main characteristics which are Beauty, Universality, Utility and Lightness. This product has been designed with an aim to act as third screen for the users aside from their everyday devices like smartphones and smartwatches. When it comes to design, Oppo Air Glass has a single design with Spark Projector and cutting-edge micro-LED display. It has also got a custom optical diffraction waveguide which supports two display modes a 16-level grayscale and a 256-level grayscale that can deliver up to 1400 nits in average brightness while projecting.
Oppo Air Glass is powered by Quallcomm Snapdragon Wear 4100 chipset and it will support features like weather reminders, a Health app, schedule reminders and a teleprompter. It will also support four methods of interaction; touch, voice, hand gestures and head movements. It will also be equipped with a real time translation feature with the support for Chinese to English two-way translation.

A RAID 0 setup increases storage performance by using two drives working at the same time. Lenovo has said that this setup will enhance the storage speed by up to 50%. RAID 0 has been used in PCs and laptops for many years but it will be the first time that people will get to see it on commercially available smartphone.
Lenovo Legion Y90 will be released on February 28 in China. It will be equipped with Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chip, 5,800 mAh battery with 68W rapid charging, AMOLED display and 144Hz refresh rate and also a 64MP camera which is capable of shooting 8K video recording.

The User Interface of WhatsApp Contact List is Shifting Back to the Older Version
WhatsApp has recently introduced a new view for in-app contact list with two options which are Frequently contacted and Recent chats. The new update was supposed to make it simple and easy to navigate through contact list but on the other hand the reaction was negative one. After the user response, WhatsApp has now decided to turn back in new update.
The newly introduced WhatsApp version 2.22.5.9 has nothing much included in terms of functionality, however, the previous contact list interface has been restored. The update came after some users expressed their dislike for the new user interface on Twitter. The developers were forced to revert the change after the backlash and now the users will be able to access their contact list as it they were doing previously. Prior to this update, WhatsApp contacts page did not display Recent chats sections and listed all the contacts in alphabetical order.
WhatsApp is receiving loads of updates since it has been purchased by Meta in 2015. one of them is the long-awaited revamped voice call interface that displays contact name, number and profile picture with call duration on top. WhatsApp is also all set to come up with Instagram-like message reactions.
Snapchat is going to Introduce Instagram Like Ads Within Stories
Snapchat has started testing a new monetization option for the creators. According to Snapchat, the revenue generated from the mid-roll ads will be shared with the creators which are also known as Snap Stars. This feature will be available for the creators who bring most entertaining and hilarious content to Snapchat, while the eligibility criteria is account engagement with more emphasis on public Stories, cultural relevance as well as content quality.
At the moment a few Snap Stars in USA are beta-testing the new mid-roll ads in public Stories who will also receive revenue share earned from ads. Previously Snapchat introduced Snap Spotlights which are TikTok-like short form videos. So far Snapchat has invested heavily in the new format which include spending $1 million per day in order to fund creators who are supporting the platform. Snap’s decision to share the ad revenue which are generated by Stories show the company is to ensure its continued growth and maintaining loyal creator base.
