Google is optimizing the Android apps for the smartphones with the introduction of new features or improving the older ones. But you can not say the same for the tablet apps until recently, the company had shown interest in the form factor by making any given tablet pretty much an over-sized Android phone. With Android 12L, Google has taken interest in form factor and ahead of Pixel tablet launch in 2023. The company is not slowing down and has released an update that makes Google Lens very intuitive for large screens.
Google app was updated to v13.19 on beta channel , letting Google Lens work in landscape orientation on tablets. The landscape version of Lens covers all the horizontal space to display content so that viewing results from filters like Search or Homework is less convoluted. The landscape capability of Lens is limited to tablets which means that phones remains in portrait mode only.
